Topic: Making Shipping Insurance Cheaper, Easier & Faster with inkFrog Host: inkFrog Date: Jan 19th, 2010 (Tuesday) Time: 11AM PST
Details: In this workshop, the inkFrog team will show/demo how you can use ShipSaver Insurance (by inkFrog) to insure your packages for less than you are paying to USPS and UPS.
ShipSaver Insurance is a discount shipping insurance application now available in “My eBay” as part of Selling Manager Applications, eBay's App Store. ShipSaver allows eBay sellers to receive great shipping insurance coverage at a discount.
Hi! I'm Debbie, and I'm inkFrog's marketing person. I'm here today to tell you about ShipSaver Insurance from inkFrog. It's one of the new Selling Manager Applications, which are tools you can use right from your My eBay.
ShipSaver allows you put insurance on domestic and international packages for less than insurance costs from the post office and other carriers. Claims are also much easier and faster. ShipSaver will save you heaps of time and money!
The more shipments you insure through us, the more you save. Lets take a small example. If you insure one $30 item using insurance bought at the Post Office, your cost is $1.75. If you insure that same shipment through us, your cost is only $0.99. Your savings is $0.76 on one item. The savings add up quickly... save 76 cents on each package, and ship 100 packages a month... that's $76 saved!
Our "pricing" page (inside the application) will let you calculate insurance rates on packages based on their value and destination.

We have some more content to post, just read over the content and feel free to "ask" post any questions you have about inkFrog and their ShipSaver shipping insurance application.
You do not need to be subscribed to an eBay Store in order to access ShipSaver, inkFrog's Shipping Insurance solution that is part of eBay Selling Manager Applications.
You will need to be subscribed to eBay's Selling Manager Applications though. Selling Manager Applicatons is eBay's App Store. Once you are subscribed, you can access, view and subscribe to unique tools/solutions to help your eBay business.
In order to access Selling Manager Applications you'll need to either be subscribed to Selling Manager (free!) or Selling Manager Pro. Check them out here - http://pages.ebay.com/selling_manager/
Every seller currently subscribed to Selling Manager or Selling Manager Pro will have the "Applications" tab. You'll need to sign-up for one of those eBay tools in order to access Selling Manager Applications.
You can try ShipSaver for free. Just subscribe to the application, and choose one item that has a value of under $25 and will be shipped via USPS. Insure it for free, and try our system out. To learn more about other offerings from inkFrog, head to www.inkfrog.com. Let's take some questions!
If an item is insured through ShipSaver, shipped to an international destination by USPS First Class Mail International, and fails to reach the buyer's destination, what documentation is required in support of a claim?
Typically, the only thing you need for a claim is to have waited a certain number of days, and then get a signed letter from your buyer saying the package never came.
You do not need to present the package.

You have to have a signed letter. I believe that can be faxed or scanned and then emailed. Either way, you need to get the letter to the claims department after waiting a certain number of days.

Does shipsaver cost anything to sign up? Is there a list of insurance fees for the corresponding value of the package that we can see? What about shipping an expensive item such as jewelry worth more than $2,000.00? In other words, what is the highest amount that you can insure for?
There is no signup fee. You can see our insurance pricing by going to our Application, and clicking PRICING.
Highest you can insure is $2500. Please check our terms page for what types of items you can insure and to which countries since there are limitations.
Thanks!

Remember that in order to file a claim, in addition to the letter we talked about earlier, you also need proof of having shipped the item. This could be a USPS receipt or a screen shot of your PayPal shipping screen.

We have many international shipment. We didn't offer first class shipping, because it is no tracking#. If we can insure international first class mail, it will increase our sales a lot. We can't do shipment online for International first class shipment. We should go to post office. Can we still insure that shipment? Please tell details. Thanks!
