Now you can access Worldwide Brands Product Sourcing Tool for eBay quickly and easily in your eBay account with the release of Selling Manager Applications for Selling Manager and Selling Manager Pro.
Join us in this workshop to discover why finding drop ship and wholesale suppliers is much simpler than you think. We have video, images, and lots of educational content to show you exactly how it works.
Hello, this is Colette Marshall, President of WorldwideBrands.com and I’d like to welcome you to today’s workshop!
Many sellers on eBay start out by selling items around the house or local garage sales, but quickly discover that there are 2 downsides to this process:
1) Its a time consuming process to keep searching for new product in local markets 2) It’s not a renewable source of product. In other words, once you find something that sells with a good profit margin. Finding the next one of the exact same product becomes difficult.
The Solution: Setup a wholesale account with a drop ship supplier or wholesale supplier that will allow your products to be sold on eBay.
But where do you find them?
That’s what I’m here to discuss today. By the end of this workshop, you’ll discover why finding drop ship and wholesale suppliers is much simpler than you think.
The workshop content is directly below. After you’ve read through today’s workshop, I’m here to answer your questions.
I look forward to talking with you over the next hour!
So How and Where do you find legitimate drop ship and wholesale suppliers? Product Sourcing is the process of researching and verifying quality suppliers that will work with online retailers (specifically eBay sellers). Worldwide Brands has been in the product sourcing business for over 10 years searching for quality dropshippers and wholesale suppliers who will allow their products to be sold on eBay.
Here are your options: Option A: You can do it yourself. Note: This is a time consuming process and you will have more denials than you will have successes because there are many wholesalers who will not work with eBay sellers or online retailers, and you need to be very wary of internet scams.
Option B: You can use the expertise of the Worldwide Brands research team to find suppliers of products you are looking for to sell online, so that you can focus on the other important part of your business: Marketing and conversion.
eBay just made your busy ebiz life 1 Giant Step easier!
Finding drop ship suppliers and wholesale suppliers that allow their products to be sold on eBay just became 1 GIANT step easier. Now you can access the Worldwide Brands Product Sourcing Tool quickly and easily in your eBay account with the release of Selling Manager Applications for Selling Manager and Selling Manager Pro.
Note on how to access: Login to your eBay Account then go to My eBay in the top right corner. If you don’t see an applications tab, then add the free version of the Selling Manager to you’re my eBay Account under “My Account” then “Subscriptions”. Then go to the Applications tab and look in the Selling Applications Directory. Subscribe to Worldwide Brands (there is a free limited 7 day trial).
In the next few minutes, I’m going to take you through the most important steps of finding and working with dropshippers and wholesale suppliers. For each step, I will show you how Worldwide Brands makes this easier for you.
STEP 1:Get Legal – Real wholesalers want to work with legitimate retailers. To do this, you need to establish yourself as a business. Get your business name and most importantly state sales tax id number before starting the supplier research process.
After you subscribe to the Worldwide Brands Product Sourcing Tool, the first area you will see is the Member Center (see screen shot below). In the “The Whole Sale” and links on the left navigation, you will find resources for helping you with getting yourself legal. Worldwide Brands doesn’t set up a business for you, but we do provide you with information on what you need to know about setting up a business and why it’s important for working with wholesalers.
STEP 2: Market Research – To sell successfully on eBay, you need to sell what customers are looking for. Market research allows you to figure out demand, competition, and supply for product keywords. It helps you drill down into a niche where you can make a profit margin, because you know in advance what people want to buy.
In the Worldwide Brands Product Sourcing Tool (select the button “Find Products Now” to open), there is a built in market research wizard. Each tab does an analysis on Demand, Competition, and then searches through our database to determine if there is a verified supplier for this product. For example, the screenshot below shows results for the product keyword, “flip flops”
STEP 3: Find a supplier - After you’ve done your research, you’ll narrow your list down to 2 or 3 really good niches to find products for. Now you need to find a source for that product. Most sellers start out wanting to drop ship products.
What is drop shipping? Who is a dropshipper?
Single item drop shipping is a solution that some wholesale suppliers offer. The drop shipper (aka wholesale supplier who drop ships) will ship their products, one-at-a-time, directly to your customer. You post the product in your eBay store or auctions, and pass your customer orders along to your drop ship wholesaler to fill them. You pay your wholesaler after the customer pays you. It’s a low-risk entry point to get started sourcing wholesale products.
Note 2 key points here: 1) The term drop shipper references the wholesale supplier, not the retailer 2) Not all wholesalers will do single item drop shipping. The majority will volume wholesale and some will allow low minimum orders (light bulk wholesale). Some will drop ship small quantity lots (for example, a box of the same product) but they won’t break it up and single item ship.
Worldwide Brands has already done the research to help simplify the process for you. For example, we did a search in the database for the product keyword “martini glasses” (see image below) and within seconds found several drop ship suppliers that have already been verified and will allow their products to be sold on eBay.
To obtain the best profit margins, you need to work directly with the manufacturer or authorized wholesaler. The direct contact information is provided in the listing. Worldwide Brands does not get between you and your supplier. You own the relationship completely with the supplier.
So what has Worldwide Brands done for you? As I mentioned, we research the supplier. We’ve confirmed that this supplier is legitimate (not a scam). They will allow their products to be sold on eBay. They will do single item drop shipping. We went through several denials of hand painted glass products before we found this supplier. Worldwide Brands allows you to get straight to business with the supplier. We do the supplier research so that you don’t have to.
STEP 4: Setup your wholesale account and Build your Relationship with your Supplier When working with a wholesaler (especially for selling on eBay), you need to know terms like MAP, MOO, net terms, LTL. All of these terms and methodology behind growing from drop shipping into a volume business is all provided with the Whole Sale education in the Worldwide Brands product (see screen capture below). It’s gathered in one place to learn everything you need to know about starting out working with wholesale suppliers.
After you’ve setup your wholesale account, you can start loading the products into your store or auction. A supplier will generally provide you with all the information that you need to get started.
Remember, you own the relationship with supplier so you want to grow your Business to Business relationship with them. Use drop shipping to test out products in the market place then when you find a product that is selling well, start buying in bulk (i.e light bulk wholesale – minimum orders less than $500) . This will allow you get better wholesale discounts and make your supplier happier because you’re driving more volume sales. Not all suppliers will have minimum orders less than $500 which is one of the reasons why Worldwide Brands makes a distinction between Light Bulk Wholesalers and Large volume wholesalers in the database.

The workshop is open! Take advantage of this great opportunity to ask the Worldwide Brands team how their new Product Sourcing Tool for eBay will help sellers find items or additional inventory to sell on eBay.
Workshops are interactive, so please feel free to ask your questions that directly relate to this topic. We will answer all questions!
So long as you are not selling from a different state or a different business, you don't need an additional Tax ID. If you have registered a different Business as an LLC for example, you will need a Tax ID for that new entity.
Welcome to todays eBay Workshop. Are you asking how does the Workshop forum work? Or how does sourcing products from Worldwide Brands with their new Product Sourcing Tool work?
Each State has a different web-based process. There is a page on the Worldwidebrands.com website that will allow you to select the State in which you are resident. You only currently need a Sales Tax ID for sales into the State where your business has legal residence.
I do have all my items on hand, however as I grow my space is getting smaller. I would welcome trying a dropshipper but am concerned about my DSR's. I have great feedback for my quick shipping. Most dropshippers are known for slow shipping. Have you done research on that as well to see if they are shipping in a timely manner? Thanks for your time. WWW.meemawsbackporch.com
No questions are silly questions. We welcome them all and are here to help you be successful Selling on eBay. We will shortly show you a live demo of the system so keep watching.
The eBay workshops are typically more of a Q&A environment. Worldwide Brands has posted information on how sellers can use their Product Sourcing Tool for eBay along with video. We will provide a walk-through webinar in a minute. Hope you can join us!
Hey, powerwheelerchris! Thanks for the info. I picked up a brochure about selling Avon online, but I haven't really checked it out yet. I have taken the summer off from ebay to work the farming business, but that is almost over now, and I'm looking for more income. I was hoping that I could incorporate Avon with my ebay store, which I will be stocking again soon, but that would probably be too easy. HA! Deb
THere is no question that buying in Volume or, at least, Light Bulok Wholesale (Carton Size or minimum orders of $300-$500 rather than $1,000-$5,000 Minimum Order) is better.
There is a risk with Drop Shippers which is why eBay encourages you to use Light Bulk Wholesaling rather than Drop Shipping.
If you are running out of space, you can use a local or National Fulfillment Center for higher volume sales items.
Our Members find that it is always a good idea to use Drop Shipping to post new items and then measure the demand to determine when to move a listing from Drop Ship to light Bulk Wholesale.
Now I’m sure you have many questions, so we’d like to try something different this time for our workshop. We’re going to have a live demo through a GoToWebinar.
So join us right now on live demo where Ginger and I are going to walk you through the new application and answer some of you questions live.
No email optin is required. It’s completely free. Just use the link below and call into the number provided. We’ll be recording the session and posting it on the workshop, right afterwards as well.
If you don’t want to join us on the live demo, don’t worry.
Please ask your questions here in the workshop.

Sales Tax ID is VERY quick to secure over the Internet. The 7 day trial aloows you to see format but does not actually give you the names and contact details of any wholesaler. Once you satisfy yourself that the format answers what you are seeking, you can move from "Subscription" to "Purchase" and immediately start using the Intellectual Property that costs so much to assemble.
What is needed in order to sell legally on ebay assuming I'm starting from scratch? I understand the tax id issue as far as selling to customers in my own state but beyond that I'm a bit confused.
Thanks, Ginger. I am not an Avon rep yet as I wondered about connecting with eBay. I'll check that out as well as Light Bulk Wholesaling through worldwidebrandsinc. So far, I have listed items from my attic and closets or great finds from yard sales. I would like to have a volume of products that I don't necessarily have to handle on a daily basis. My office is full of stuff that I just haven't listed yet, and I'm running out of room like meemawsbackporch.
You don't need anything to sell legally on eBay if you make your own products or if you are auctioning your own possesions.
Legality relates to the wholesaler.
Wholesalers will not supply any products unless you provide a Sales Tax ID. Wholesalers mostly like to deal with a registered business with a bank account and a business credit card.
In making the decision whether to open an account for you or not and provide you with their confidential price list, a wholesaler prefers to deal with a business rather than a person.
The quick answer is Yes. The are just less than 100 Canada-based Suppliers but there are more than 8,000 Suppliers in the entire database. These include Drop Shippers, Light Bulk Wholesalers, Volume Wholesalers, Liquidators and Importers. The database clearly identifies those who will ship Internationally.
