Description: After the buyer checks out, the seller's work starts! Reliable post-sale order processing is a must-have. It can be quite exhausting managing the information, getting packing lists and shipping labels dealt with, etc.
My.ShipRush streamlines the whole post-sale process from shipping to communication. Saving eBay sellers a lot of time (and time is money!). Please join Rafael Zimberoff, ShipRush Product Manager for Z-Firm to learn how My.ShipRush can help eBay sellers easily manage all shipments and communications.
New to the eBay Selling Manager Applications, or commonly referred to as eBay's App Store, is My.ShipRush. My.ShipRush was created by the folks at Z-Firm and is a new version of ShipRush, embedded in My eBay or Selling Manager.

My name is Rafael, and I am here to discuss 'Save Time on Shipping: For Bulk and One Off Printing! Right from My eBay!' I am the ShipRush product manager, so I 'live shipping' all day every day.
I suspect the same is true for many of you!
It is important to take shipping seriously. Every eBay sale will result in a shipment. As a seller, your goal is to offer good shipping service at a fair price. This helps attract buyers!
The ultimate goal is a happy buyer, and a profitable sale.
To grow your business, you need to be efficient with both time and money. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ . . . . . ShipRush Team: Free ShipRush for the Postal Service (for eBay & PayPal): http://www.zfirm.com/products/shiprush_usps.shtml
The workshop is open! Take advantage of this great opportunity to ask the ShipRush team how you can use their solution to save time, easily print shipping labels (in bulk) and update shipment information in My eBay.
Workshops are interactive, so please feel free to ask your questions that directly relate to this topic. We will answer all questions!
Wait, My.ShipRush is a Selling Manager Application?
What about the ShipRush solutions you already know, like ShipRush FedEx, and others?
Yes. There are several tools, all part of the ShipRush family. For the first segment, we will focus on shipping, and saving time with My.ShipRush in Selling Manager Applications.
Further down I will try to review the ShipRush options you may already be familiar with (to put My.ShipRush in perspective). ------------------------------------------------------------------------ . . . . . If you sell only on eBay, the answer is in your MyeBay console.
If you have sales channels (your web site, a shopping cart system, phone orders) in addition to eBay, then you are "multi channel"
Consolidating these orders into a single "shipping to do" list is a crucial step to save time and increase sanity. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ . . . . . Hello, I'm not familiar with this application. What is different about it that it would work better for me than going through selling manager pro and paypal?
My.ShipRush has three main features for eBay sellers:
- Aggregates all your sales from eBay, PayPal and other ecommerce systems
- Integrates with the desktop ShipRush system
- Is an on-line shipping history, with Search, that you can share
And a note! My.ShipRush is getting new features all the time. If you need something, just ask!
(And check back every month or two!) ------------------------------------------------------------------------ . . . . . ShipRush Team: Free ShipRush for the Postal Service (for eBay & PayPal): http://www.zfirm.com/products/shiprush_usps.shtml
A common situation is a seller who sells on eBay and on another channel like a web site, and takes PayPal on the web site.
The best way to handle this situation is to have a 2nd PayPal ID for the web site. Then, set up My.ShipRush to get a feed from both your eBay account and PayPal account.
My.ShipRush is then your single list of everything sold on eBay and PayPal.
My.ShipRush can also take feeds from other ecommerce systems. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ . . . . . ShipRush Team: Free ShipRush for the Postal Service (for eBay & PayPal): http://www.zfirm.com/products/shiprush_usps.shtml
For one thing, you don't have to log in to multiple web sites. All your sold & ready to ship sales are in one list.
Also, you can now delegate your shipping to a shipping clerk who you do not allow to log in to your eBay and PayPal accounts. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ . . . . . There is still more to the process, and yes, there is more savings.
There are multiple tools you can use to print the shipping labels.
For lower volume sites, you can easily ship using the free ShipRush plugin. This offers FedEx and Postal Service shipping, and tracking numbers flow back into eBay and My.ShipRush.
There is no copy/paste, and no import/export. The plugin is one-click shipping.
For higher volume sites, you can use the free ShipRush Order Manager, which is fully eBay-and-ecommerce integrated. The ShipRush Order Manager prints packing lists, and has rich batch shipping features. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ . . . . . A key feature of a web shipping list is that it saves you time by centralizing information. For shipping, you look in one place, and everything you need to ship is there.
And then for shipment lookup, on the customer service side, everything is there. You can look up tracking numbers and shipping details any time, from any computer. You can search by eBay order #, buyer eBay ID, tracking #, and more.
When your team has easy access to information, you save loads of time, freeing up time to source and sell more product. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ . . . . . Is this something that you use throughout the selling and shipping process and can you do postage through it? Like I said, I'm not familiar with it, so I'm asking questions before I read about it.
Know how items will be shipped before listing. Understand total cost (e.g. cost of packaging, shipping service, etc). Think of this as understanding the 'end before the beginning.'
In other words: Know the total picture before you list.
In your work day, use 'bundling.' Bundle similar items together in your workload. Say you sell clothing and small electronics. You might do all your clothing shipping on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and electronics shipping on Tuesday and Thursday. Grouping similar work together makes it much more efficient.
I might add that keeping track of how you spend your time is part of running a business. For example:
2 hours purchasing 3 hours photographing and listing items 1.5 hrs packing and shipping 1 hour customer service
Keep track of it in a spreadsheet so you can total it up, and really see where the time goes.
Time is important! ------------------------------------------------------------------------ . . . . . ShipRush Team: Free ShipRush for the Postal Service (for eBay & PayPal): http://www.zfirm.com/products/shiprush_usps.shtml
Of course you need shipping supplies, packing tape, and all the normal stuff. (I won't bore you with _that_!)
But you for sure need an electronic scale... and maybe two of them.
I have a Mettler Toledo PS-60 scale for parcels (up to 150 lbs), and a smaller, plastic, postal scale for items less than 1 lb. There are some scales that can play both roles... but I don't have one.
You simply must have a good scale (or two!). Otherwise you are wasting time and $.
Scales can be purchased here on eBay, and elsewhere.
Make sure to have a couple on hand! ------------------------------------------------------------------------ . . . . . ShipRush Team: Free ShipRush for the Postal Service (for eBay & PayPal): http://www.zfirm.com/products/shiprush_usps.shtml
A great thing is to pre-weigh your packaging material (boxes, poly bags, etc). Keep it written on a chart on the wall. So you can know the total weight of items easily. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ . . . . . My.ShipRush in Selling Manager Applications is part of the ShipRush family.
Many of you use ShipRush, and are wondering what this new thing is!
So let's take a minute to review the ShipRush family. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ . . . . . ShipRush Team: Free ShipRush for the Postal Service (for eBay & PayPal): http://www.zfirm.com/products/shiprush_usps.shtml
Larger packages (starting somewhere between three and six lbs, depending on your profile) are often best shipped with a private carrier. So how to save?
2) High volume shippers: Contact FedEx to see if you can get a discount off of the Daily Pickup rates. Be sure to have some information in hand first: How many packages you ship each week, what your monthly 'spend' on parcel shipping is, & projected growth.
Note: FedEx Ground is often a better deal than the competition. If you ship a lot via Ground (that is heavy, bulky, etc) be sure to check the FedEx rates.
Watch Dimensional Weight: Pack items as small as you can (while still padding the item sufficiently). Dimensional Weight is based on package size, not weight, and applies to Ground and Air shipping. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ . . . . . Can we print a SCAN form for the USPS packages shipped with this application? <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
Excellent question. The SCAN form is important!
With ShipRush Endicia: Yes, you can.
The Selling Manager My.ShipRush does not currently offer this function. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ . . . . . ShipRush Team: Free ShipRush for the Postal Service (for eBay & PayPal): http://www.zfirm.com/products/shiprush_usps.shtml
40rustyspokes Hello, I'm not familiar with this application. What is different about it that it would work better for me than going through selling manager pro and paypal?
------------ The answer is:
- What is your work flow? - Are you looking for a tool built more closely to your work flow? - How much volume do you do? - Do you need FedEx shipping?
If you only sell on eBay, don't need FedEx, the built in eBay shipping is probably a great fit! ------------------------------------------------------------------------ . . . . . ShipRush Team: Free ShipRush for the Postal Service (for eBay & PayPal): http://www.zfirm.com/products/shiprush_usps.shtml
>> Is this something that you use throughout the selling >> and shipping process
No. All the ShipRush tools are "post sale" tools for after the sale. They are not involved with listing.
>> can you do postage through it?
Using ShipRush Endicia: Yes. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ . . . . . ShipRush Team: Free ShipRush for the Postal Service (for eBay & PayPal): http://www.zfirm.com/products/shiprush_usps.shtml
40rustyspokes >> I always use paypal to do my shipping labels. >> Can I use them together to prepare an order for shipping?
Yes. You can use My.ShipRush with any other tools. There is no lock in at all. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ . . . . . ShipRush Team: Free ShipRush for the Postal Service (for eBay & PayPal): http://www.zfirm.com/products/shiprush_usps.shtml
timecatchers >> If shiprush does not print postage paid labels >> where am I saving?
It is about workflow, and time.
Note: If you are a 100% eBay seller, and ship 100% on the postal service, the built in eBay tools may well be all you need! ------------------------------------------------------------------------ . . . . . ShipRush Team: Free ShipRush for the Postal Service (for eBay & PayPal): http://www.zfirm.com/products/shiprush_usps.shtml
cariandco >> I am an infrequent seller and want to know if using this >> product will benefit me.
If you ship under 5 sales a week, the ShipRush tools are probably not a fit for you. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ . . . . . ShipRush Team: Free ShipRush for the Postal Service (for eBay & PayPal): http://www.zfirm.com/products/shiprush_usps.shtml
40rustyspokes >> Is there a charge for that program?
There is no charge for the ShipRush tools for eBay. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ . . . . . ShipRush Team: Free ShipRush for the Postal Service (for eBay & PayPal): http://www.zfirm.com/products/shiprush_usps.shtml
I don't think that your program will work for me at the moment. My biggest time waster is when I have to take the packages to the post office and purchase the shipping. Paypal and USPS online really works well for me. I ship about 50-75 packages a month and I don't have a problem keeping track of everything with Selling manager pro. I will have to read more about your program to see if there are any more benefits over selling manager pro for keeping track of my sales
